So this time we got to stop in Indio CA.

I knew going in we had a small chance their shakes would be dairy free. Yeah, so no shake but a box of dates is good. I can make my own shake.

Dates have a romantic life!? Seriously?

Their little cafe is cute and the waiter was cool. I told him my dogs were in the car and so I was going to order a meal to go. He said bring them and eat on the patio. The car was on and they were in the cool air conditioning. So no worries. I brought them to the patio and we ordered. They brought my girls a bowl of ice water even. 💕 Portobello Burgers and seasoned fries. In case you are wondering. They had lots of veggies in the burgers as well as roasted green chili NM style. They were delish.

As we finished up the waiter said we could take a walk through the garden for free if we wanted to and we could take the girls. Hey, he said free. Ok, cool. Not cool, it was over 100 out there.

So, I just thought a garden stroll ok, I didn’t really know what to expect other than pretty landscaping. Well, it was very beautiful. By the way we carried the pups it was really hot and didn’t want their paws to burn 🙂

Hit the road and stopped a few hours later in El Paso Tx.

The Joy Tree Restaurant is so darn cute. Clean too! I got a bit of a California vibe.

I got there after 1pm and it was a bit slow. The chef was behind the counter and he helped me pick out a few things. Now this is customer service. He even asked if I ate honey, since some vegans don’t. 💕 What? I’m easily impressed 🙂 Their bathroom is clean too. I had to wash my hands while I waited. When my order was ready, the chef came out and said enjoy. 😉

I ordered a couple different sandwiches and sides. A mixed veggie sandwich and a portobello sandwich, some roasted potatoes and a lentil soup. We shared half of each with each other. Ok, it was really good food. The veggies were roasted and well seasoned. Went back and got a couple green smoothies. Fueled, baby!

They are environmentally friendly as well. 💕

Just beginning…

Purple Lotus flower blooms can take on a spiritual meaning of ascension, enlightenment, or rebirth. The lotus is the embodiment of perfection. It defines the capacity of the soul to expand and embrace the beauty of life with a clear conscience.

The dragonfly is a creature of both the water and the air. The air in dragonfly tattoo designs signifies freedom, and independence.

So while in CA I had to visit my favorite tattoo artist. Luckily he made a day available for me.

I happen to be a Scorpio which is a water sign. When I saw this picture it just stayed on my mind and I knew it was for me. Her ropes have broken and she’s about to be let loose. She’s been in this net way too long.

The traditional meaning for a mermaid tattoo is usually freedom of life as well as plenty of symbolism and meaning found within the body of the mermaid and they are much more than just a pretty face. Often representing danger, temptation, and sensuality.

The pearl signifies the moon. The meanings of the moon are many but for me it signifies illusion, and to follow my intuition.

Too many times I have believed in others when I know I need to watch the actions taken, not just listen to the words spoken, that little voice inside is always right.

You know even at the age that I am now, I still hold back. Even if I have decided that I will live my life differently than what I have been tamed to do. I hope that I can teach the women in my life that there are really no definite rules. Make them up. Keep the golden rule but, for the most part quit hiding your true personality, passion, and identity. Never dim your light to please anyone.

How can we truly love ourselves when we are living the life someone else has decided for us. If we don’t fully love ourselves do we love others fully? That said, how can the relationships we have be the right ones?

You also find that you won’t compromise. Why should you? We deserve to love and be loved.

Seriously! Don’t bother if there’s a slight hesitation. It’s all or nothing. I only want that which I am willing to give.

Love is everything isn’t it?

I read that if you decide to follow this path you may find that certain relationships may have to change. I now see how this can happen.

Live your authentic life. Be happy.

My dogs are the best at meeting people.

Yesterday in Buttonwillow CA I was walking the girls and a nice young man offered to help me. He said since I had so many he thought I may need help. I laughed and told him it’s ok they’ve got this. I got to hear his dog and girlfriend story. 💕

We ate at an Indian restaurant and the people we so amazingly sweet. I felt bad I hadn’t eaten there before lol. Taste of India is the place!

I seriously saw this place! Don’t you love that name?!

We passed these date fields in Blythe and I love dates just so you know. I was all, please , please stop. Find me some dates! We stopped and were advised at one place that they don’t sell them here just ship them out. Sadness. But if you go to Indio CA you can buy them. We just passed Indio… At another place the young lady says I know a guy, (sound familiar?) 😳 😆 but it’s dove season so he’s not around. Oh well, next time.

I walked the dogs down an alley there was a homeless man cleaning up his home and he was friendly as can be. He smiled, waved and said good morning. As I kept walking there was a beautifully manicured lawn with about 4 German shepherds and a pug. Their owner was outside with them and as they started to bark at us she snapped her fingers and those shepherds just sat and listed to their mom. The pug came right for us lol and just did as it pleased. I waved at her and she waved back. We know who is spoiled in that house.

How cute is that!? Saw it in AZ.

These are my girls, the larger of the three is Sookie Blu, she’s true blu, my friendly and fearless chocolate companion. In the middle there’s Riddle Cat, she’s the smallest one with a crooked tail. Don’t let her size fool you, she’s tough and she has bouts of times when she can’t control her licker. Oh, and she can climb anything. Then there’s Dazy May, she’s the princess of the bunch. Picky, she May like you, but it’s doubtful. She’s the caretaker of her sisters though.

It was slow going at first due to bad traffic and rerouting. But we are in no hurry and it’s all good. Lots to see, and those who love us are in constant contact. Ahh la vida 💕

So it’s been awhile in the making. House is packed in a truck awaiting pick up and I’m on the road home. Who says you can’t go home? Cuz they lie!

Days are going kinda fast, so have to get out and enjoy this trail behind our house as much as possible before the move. Going to try and savor each and every moment out there.

Yeah I forgot my helmet again, luckily my husband noticed before we got too far. So I went back for it. Too funny! I was trying to remember everything while getting ready but oh well.

A doe and her two fawns welcomed us right off the bat today.

It was only like 60 degrees so it was a perfect morning.

Yesterday’s ride was just as pretty.

Just as I hit this bridge, I started hearing a clicking noise. Now you know my luck lately. I don’t need any more trips to the ER. So I stopped to check what the heck was going on. My tire was loose! The lugnut or whatever it’s called, had loosened up! That could have been ugly. Could it have been an inside job? Lol Just kidding… I think 🤔

The next few days will be pretty rough, what with working out and meeting friends to say goodbye, and boxing stuff in between. Goodwill will be pretty happy as well. I know this sounds like no biggie, but time seems to fly. So much to do…

Don’t get me wrong, I’m mega grateful for everything I have and just being able to do this. It’s way cool not to have a scheduled day. I could get used to it. Lol. I also have some amazing people cheering me on. My loves.
