One of my stops is Byram MS… at the Swinging Bridge.
So if you walk on it yes, it moves and I suppose you could get it to swing.
So as I walked into the bridge, two young fellas were standing near the middle and yell, “ y’all better hurry if you wanna see a alligator.” Uh yeah I wanna see one… sure enough on the bank of the river was a good sized alligator. Cool!
So after the alligator excitement a small walk on the bridge I noticed all these locks on the bridge.. now let me just say my mind was just reeling… locks? Omg 💕
These young men were very kind and happy to talk. So I had to ask, even though I knew the answer… so what do these locks signify? One of the men said it’s for love. The things you run into when you least expect it. Well, in France there’s a bridge where two lovers write their names on a lock put it on the bridge and throw the key in the river.. Someone must have brought that with them here. So very cool. Locks for days… love?
I sure hope so…
So this was all cool and all but, back at camp… a red cardinal… yeah ..
And just to dig it all an’ not to wonder, that’s just fine And I’ll be satisfied not to read in between the lines
It’s funny how when you’re in the midst of loss or just feeling sad how you don’t understand that life just goes on…
But once on the other side it’s like an aha moment. It’s so nice that life goes on. The weight is lighter and new replaces the old.
Hopefully the lesson is learned and on we go. So many little sayings like live and learn, and some people come into your life to stay or to teach you a lesson.
We are constantly learning … life is short and every moment a precious gift. Sadly it can’t always go how you would like but maybe that too is a gift.
We all need someone to love and to hold We all need shelter to keep us from the cold We all need laughter when life gets hard We all need someone to love us for who we are We all need someone to love and to hold
